From the Trivia Files Contest: A Final Test

I was trying to think of a great way to wrap up this series, and I thought up a question last night that seemed strangely apropos.  Today, I'm ending the contest series with a test, of sorts.

So here it is, the last question:

What is the Bible-prescribed test to know that a prophet's message is from God?

Now that we're at the end of the contest, I think I need to share how this game ends. I'll be posting my answers on Sunday.  In the meantime, all post answer sections in this series will remain open until noon CST this Sunday, June 6th.  See you then!

Deuteronomy 18:22
"If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him." - The word comes true in reality.

Matthew 7:15-16
"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them." - Watch out for their fruits of the Prophets whether they are godly or not.

1 Corinthians 14:37-38
"If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord's command. If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored." - Acknowledge the word of God

1John 4:1-3
"Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world." - Test the spirits whether they are from God or not.
